The following pages document my trip to North Korea in August 2007. Unlike other travelogues, I focus on my conversations with the people I got to know on the trip: two recently graduated students of the Pyongyang University of Foreign Languages and a current student of an elite communist institution of higher learning. My interpretations of all actions and words reflect my own “biased” worldview, and I apologize if I misread anything. Feel free to contact me with the information found on this webpage.
